Our programming
College access & scholarships
SoLa I CAN Foundation gives youth in the South LA community the opportunities and resources to build their resumes and become college ready. Our College Bound program includes university tours, summer immersion on college campuses, academic tutoring, SAT prep and guidance through the entire application and financial aid process.
career awareness & entrepreneurship
Like our motto says, “If you can see it, you can be it!” Our “I CAN Be…” program strives to expose our youth to new and interesting career paths they may not be aware of. We prioritize finding speakers and companies run by Black and Latinx entrepreneurs to help our youth see the possibility in their lives.
Wellness and health
SoLa I CAN aims to provide enriching health and wellness experiences for our youth, including healthy cooking classes, unique outdoor activities and time in nature.
Financial literacy
We teach our kids the fundamentals of finance, saving, budgeting, banking and the stock market.
tech innovation & entrepreneurship
We offer high quality, virtual educational and leadership programming, free of charge to South LA students through our summer tech camps, virtual tech center, and upcoming SURGE Technology and Entrepreneurship Center.
