Q: Can seniors attending community college apply for the scholarship?

A: The scholarship is reserved for students attending accredited 4 year universities.

Q: What is the total amount of the scholarship award?

A: The amount will be decided based on individual needs and available funding.

Q: When is the recommendation form due?

A: The recommendation form is also due March 30th. Please make this request on the application platform well before the deadline and communicate with your recommender as failure to submit it on time will result in your application being incomplete. 

Q: What if I cannot attend the ceremony?

A: Given that this is a community based scholarship, we value everyone’s presence at the ceremony to meet other members of our community and therefore, will prioritize those who can attend.

Q: Will I receive a notification if I am not awarded the scholarship?

A: Yes, these notifications will be sent in April 2023.

Q: How do I know if my zip code qualifies?

Q: Is an interview required?

A: Interviews will be required for those selected as finalists and will receive a notification to schedule their interview in April 2023

Q: When will I find out if I received the scholarship?

A: June 1st, 2023
