Q: What is the total amount of the scholarship award? 

A: The amount will be decided based on individual needs and available funding - it can be from $5,000 up to a full-ride.

Q: What is the Miller Scholarship?

A: The Miller Scholarship is a full-ride scholarship created to bridge the financial gap for scholars wishing to attend out of state universities or other colleges with high tuition costs, yet unable to even consider that opportunity due to financial barriers. This opportunity will cover the scholars' remaining cost of attendance after financial aid is applied. To apply, applicants must indicate so in the general application by March 1st, 2023.

Q: What are the two different deadlines and which one corresponds to me?

A: The Miller Scholarship deadline has been extended to match the deadline of our general scholarship on March 1, 2023

Q: How many scholars will receive the Miller Scholarship?

A: 2-3 Scholars will receive the Miller Scholarship this year. Those who apply for the Miller Scholarship and do not receive it will continue to be considered for our general scholarship

Q: When is the recommendation form due?

A: Recommendation forms are now optional and also due on March 31st, 2023

Q: How do I know if the zip code I live in qualifies?

Q: Is an interview required?

A: Interviews will be required for those selected as finalists and will receive a notification to schedule their interview in April 2023

Q: Will I receive a notification if I am not awarded the scholarship?

A: Yes, these notifications will be sent in April 2023

Q: Can seniors attending community college apply for the scholarship?

A: This scholarship is reserved for students attending accredited 4-year colleges & universities.
